Madison and Friends TWEEN is very happy to have this cool line in the store. The line originated from eight 14 year old girls from New York who really wanted to make a difference. One day they as they watched an Oprah show on the trafficking of children in the fishing villages of Ghana, they decided they wanted to make a difference. They knew it would be arduous work as it takes around $4300 dollars to save one child from such horrible fate, but they know that "one would be better than none" and thus started their plan to make a difference. They line is made up of fun accessories and easy every day clothes. It's been selling out at our TWEEN store in Lincoln Park and we have a lot more coming in, we're very proud to be one of the first stores to carry their line. Top Trends for Fall

With the cold weather peaking through and the days getting shorter there’s still fashion to think about. This season’s trends are fun and bold, lots of textures and colors, no more earthy tones and subtle details; it’s all about flash and taking a risk!
1 - Sequins
It’s all over Vogue and major fashion mags, this is definitely a trend every designer has embraced this season; see it not only on dresses but also on your every day wear. We love this trend…for those of us who need the extra hot coco during the cold this is a keeper trend. Everything is tunics for fall, tees, hoodies, sweaters, turtlenecks; we love the extra length. This trend is super chic over skinny jeans and ballet flats.
4 - Leggings for every occasion

Leggings with everything! Under dresses, tunics, with layered tees and long cardigans, this is a look that we can all embrace. There’s nothing more comfortable than leggings, your favorite chunky sweater and a great pair of boots on a cold day.

Madison and Friends TWEEN Now Open in Lincoln Park

We're growing right along with some of our friends. We just opened a Tween concept shop in Lincoln Park just South of Armitage on Halsted. We carry the hottest lines for some of our most fashion driven customers; pre-teens and teens. Come check the coolest denim right in from our Denim Lounge, we carry size 24 and 25 in most denim. We wanted to create an environment where kids and parents feel comfortable transitioning from the kids lines to the more mature trends. We will be carrying boys sizes 10 through 14, small and extra small in men's, and girls starting at size 12 though 14 plus small and extra small in women's. We have a huge array of accessories that our buyers pick out with the thought of emerging trends in mind. We keep up with everything! Check out our fall collections coming soon! Summer Denim Trends

After going through a brief unsolicited trend of skinny jeans we’re happy to announce that the bootcut is back and better yet wide leg is in too.
Here’s some of our faves:
We have a few styles that will be a major hit this summer but we narrowed it down for are web clients so you don’t have to try them all!
We love the Hudson flare jean with flap pockets, they fit very well and the denim is light and comfortable. The wash is a little faded and airy, pretty cool for summer. They look great with flats or for a sexier look go with a peep-toe shoe and a tank.
If you want to be even more comfortable try the Citizen’s Kelly in Topanga, you won’t get a better lift in the back! They’re awesome and the wash is cool and easy too, this summer the look is relaxed but put together at the same time, so you’ll need a pair of great fitting jeans like these. Last, we can go without an honorary mention for the Citizen’s High Waist Wide leg jean, it’ll be love at “first try-on”, seriously. It’s a uniform wash to give you that polished look, but the fit screams comfort. The fabric is light weight but it falls nicely, they’re almost like a pair of tailored trousers. This will be an addition to your closet that you won’t regret.

Even babies need cool shoes.

One of the hardest things to get for infants is cool shoes, some of us want our little ones to look comfortable and stylish, with comfort being the number one priority. Well, now it's all possible and we can thank Gwen Stefani for thinking about the fashion needs of little ones!
