Summer Denim Trends

After going through a brief unsolicited trend of skinny jeans we’re happy to announce that the bootcut is back and better yet wide leg is in too.
Here’s some of our faves:
We have a few styles that will be a major hit this summer but we narrowed it down for are web clients so you don’t have to try them all!
We love the Hudson flare jean with flap pockets, they fit very well and the denim is light and comfortable. The wash is a little faded and airy, pretty cool for summer. They look great with flats or for a sexier look go with a peep-toe shoe and a tank.
If you want to be even more comfortable try the Citizen’s Kelly in Topanga, you won’t get a better lift in the back! They’re awesome and the wash is cool and easy too, this summer the look is relaxed but put together at the same time, so you’ll need a pair of great fitting jeans like these. Last, we can go without an honorary mention for the Citizen’s High Waist Wide leg jean, it’ll be love at “first try-on”, seriously. It’s a uniform wash to give you that polished look, but the fit screams comfort. The fabric is light weight but it falls nicely, they’re almost like a pair of tailored trousers. This will be an addition to your closet that you won’t regret.

Stay tuned for the hottest styles for your hubby.....

From Left to Right: Citizen's Kelly Jean $180, Hudson Flare Flap Pocket $176, Citizen's Wide Leg $141.

Even babies need cool shoes.

One of the hardest things to get for infants is cool shoes, some of us want our little ones to look comfortable and stylish, with comfort being the number one priority. Well, now it's all possible and we can thank Gwen Stefani for thinking about the fashion needs of little ones!
She developed a line of soft bottom shoes for Royal Elastics under her Lamb label. They're super cute and cool. You can get them here http://www.madisonandfriends.com/category.asp?catid=5767&deptid=3667

If you want to be a little more Ol' School you have to check out these soft bottom Vans for the future thrasher in the family. They're made to look just like Daddy's shoes, perfect for boys and girls with a little edge.

Crocs Are Here!

Stock up before they’re gone! The shoe that revolutionized summer comfort is here to stay. We just stocked up on these little clouds for those busy little feet. This is definitely a shoe that kids don’t mind wearing and they love the vibrant colors. They’re not only light weight and pack a ton a support but they’re also slip resistant, the perfect summer shoe for the playground or playing in the water. The colors are awesome and the strap is genius, we can’t love these shoes enough.

Here in Chicago we got just a tiny taste of the good weather...and then reality checked backed with us and gave us a little more snow. Jeans we love....

With every premium denim designer now targeting all the diminutive fashionistas, it's getting harder and harder to choose jeans for your kids.
Lucky for you, here at Madison and Friends we’ll be featuring different denim lines on our blog and it'll make it much easier for you to decide which designer will work
best for your tike!
This week we chose the staple can-never-go-wrong-with Paper Denim and Cloth, and ladies I can already hear the complaints from those of you who tried them and think it didn't work, and all I have to say is jeans on tiny ones are meant to be a little baggy. Unfortunately if you're kiddo is under 4, nothing is going to fit perfectly, but a little baggy is not only super cute but it's also very comfy for them. Have you ever seen a 3 year old trying to be comfy in super fitted jeans? It's not a pretty picture.
Well, here are our top picks for this week:
Top Picture from left to right-
Paper Denim Year Jean $68- Fits boys and girls and it's built to last, plenty of room in the bum for easy movement.
Paper Denim Mod Ripper Jean $68- It's a great look and even as a slight bootcut it's a good fit on boys.

Bottom Picture from left to right-
True Religion Joey Dark Vintage $106- Super comfy and stretchy. They’re narrow but low cut, but we can’t resist this look on toddlers, super cute!
Seven Jean Bootcut- $142-These have rhinestone pockets but all their bootcut jeans fit the same, a great fit for skinny minnies. They run a little long but a quick hem will fix it right up, plus shorties can grow into the length, double points!

Hats with Personality!

We get soooo many calls about these hats that we finally decided to put them on our site. It’s hard to keep up with the inventory for these, but we’ll do our best for the sake of fashion!
There is a hat for every baby. From the funny “Stinker” to the smooth “Ladies Man” we covered everything on the baby personality radar. If you’re the proud Mommy of a "Stud" why not show it to the world, and if you’re convinced your baby’s first words will be “I Love Mommy” then you have to put it on his head!
Have fun with it, after all this is when they’ll wear whatever you put on them and it won’t last for too long. Check out our boys selection here: http://www.madisonandfriends.com/product.asp?lt=d&deptid=3690&pfid=MAF05364

We didn't forget about of the outspoken girlies out there. Here are some hats for the "Flirts" and "Dreamers" of the family. http://www.madisonandfriends.com/product.asp?lt=d&deptid=3630&pfid=MAF05365

Gotta have Juicy this summer.

They’re finally here!
Is your little one a Juicy Queen? This summer she has to swim in style. Remember your favorite swim suit growing up? These are definitely like that, super girly and frilly and no worries about looking too grown-up in a bikini, they're are all one piece suits. She’ll definitely remember when Mama got her first Juicy suit…and don’t forget to take lots of pictures.
Check out the terri cover-ups, they can be worn as a dress too.
